National Gardening Competition

Bubbly television star Charlie Dimmock recently announced the winners of a national gardening competition here at Painshill. We hosted the third annual Barchester in Bloom awards ceremony in The Conservatory which was attended by 145 hopefuls eager to scoop an award. The day began with an informal drinks reception followed by a delicious three course meal presented by 'Touch of Taste'. The menu comprised a warm plum tomato and mozzarella tart, followed by oven baked breast of chicken filled with ginger, zest of lemon and a touch of chilli, then a delicious trio of desserts to finish including a chocolate truffle, passion fruit tartlet & a miniature crème brulee. The day ended on a high as the lucky winners posed in a photograph with the former Ground Force gardener.
